Redefining the Family Exhibit

Updated: Jul 23, 2024

Thank you to Representative Rabb and everyone who came out to celebrate the opening of our new exhibit Redefining The Family: The Livingstons and the Institution of Slavery in Early America. Over 100 people attended the opening reception and were treated to beautiful music, delicious food, and wonderful remarks from:

  • Christopher Rabb, Pennsylvania State Representative

  • Didi Barrett, Assemblymember

  • Daniel Mackay, Deputy Commissioner of OPRHP

  • Linda Cooper, Taconic Regional Director

  • Lavada Nahon, Interpreter of African American History

  • Geoff Benton, Curator of Clermont

If you missed it, don't worry! Redefining The Family will be on view in our Visitor Center through June 2025.
