Clermont State Historic Site will celebrate mothers with a special Garden Tour and Tea Party beginning at 1pm.

Bring a mother you love to enjoy a family-themed tour of the museum’s historic gardens. Light fare will be served, including Clermont’s own blend of Harney & Sons tea, dainty sandwiches, fresh fruit, and desserts of all sorts.  It’s a memorable way to thank someone you love on Mother’s Day.

$18 per person, free for children under 5.

Reservations required.  Call (518) 537-4240.

Mother's Day Tea

The program will begin with a special Mother’s Day Tour which will tell the story of the last beloved matriarch of the Clermont estate, Alice Livingston.

Moms will enjoy a leisurely walk through some of the historic gardens, including the heirloom peony garden, which is expected to be in bloom for the event.

Illustrated with family photographs and Alice’s own writings, the tour will end with an afternoon tea party.  Enjoy the clink of tea cups and feel free to take “one lump or two” as you relax in the rich scenery enjoyed by the well-to-do Alice Livingston and her two daughters over one hundred years ago.
